The Everyday Cuban

The Everyday Cuban is a 5mm Miami Cuban link chain in 316L stainless steel, in gold or silver. The gold version has three layers of IP gold plating. At 20 inches it sits just below the collarbone, so it works on its own or under a shirt collar.

316L is the grade usually sold as "surgical steel." It doesn't rust, and it has no copper in it, so it can't leave a green mark on your neck. It closes with a lobster clasp rather than a spring ring, which is the part that usually breaks on cheap chains.

Is this Cuban link chain waterproof?
Yes. Chlorine and salt water are harder on the gold plating than anything else, so rinse it in tap water after the pool or the beach.

Will it turn my neck green?
No. Green marks come from copper-based metals like brass. This chain is 316L stainless steel.

Is it a men's or women's chain?
Both. The 20-inch length sits just below the collarbone on most adults.
